Re: What a beautiful cross....is it worth $534?

On my monitor, the turquoise looks too pale. I _love_ turquoise and have a lot set in gold. I like a brilliant blue. It could just be my monitor, but those stones look more like larimar, which is pretty, but is paler than turquoise. (I have some larimar also in gold. I love the blue stones.)

I don't wear crosses; to me they are a sacred symbol rather than a fashion statement.

ETA: No criticism is intended of people who like to wear crosses; I suspect that customs are very different among different faiths and in different parts of the country. In my area as well as in my family, it was not customary.

It's pretty, but I'm not really a fan of turquoise.

I like to wear a simple cross, not as a "fashion statement", but because it gives me peace and comfort to have that symbol near by.

To me it is just ok. Not my style or worth the price for me though. I have a small gold and diamond cross that wear every day that I love and also get nice compliments on.

It is very pretty. Not worth the price for me.

Most jewelry is worth much less than the sales price. They will mark it at the highest perceived price they think will sell at.

{#emotions_dlg.scared} Very overpriced ... I have seen them for far cheaper. And its pretty but, I would not spend over five hundred dollars for it.

Re: What a beautiful cross....is it worth $534?

When I buy a cross it needs to make a statement for me. My Cz cross would be "the light of the world" cross for example. This to me reminds me of that verse..."I am the vine...you are the branches" and I think it is beautiful. As pretty as it is, I would probably not pay that much. I just need too many other things right now. If my DH wanted to buy it for me, however, I wouldn't say no!!

No way!!! Cabochons? Turquoise??? Yuk. Hate those things. I expect to see plenty of diamonds, lots of big rubies for that kind of money. A lot more gold.... And no....no 14K junk. 18K at the very least.

I'm curious, where would you find a cross with more 18K gold, plenty of diamonds and lots of big rubies for $500?

Love that verse and if the cross was about 300.00 would love it. I too question where you would purchase lots of diamonds, gemstones and 18kt. for 500.00?
