I bought the Victoria Wieck Tanzanite and White Topaz Cross that croemer pictured. It's beautiful and will get it in about a week. It's item# 268-369 at Hsn.

It's so pretty. I'll watch to see if it goes on sale. I think it's a lovely cross. Enjoy!

I have a sterling and diamond cross I got when affinity first came to QVC - it was < $100. Sparkles beautifully. The metal work is all filigree. i love it. The one in the OP does not impress me at all.

Terrier, you claim to know sooooooooooooooooooooo much about religion, but you barely even understand the one you supposedly follow.

How so?

You just threw out an accusation with no documentation or background.

Why did you do that?

I point it out to you everytime you make a statement about Christianity that's false (which is almost always). I've seen people even tell you that you're even wrong about Catholicism.

But this isn't about that.... so.... have a nice Sunday. Think you'll crack open that Bible today?

What did I say that was false?

Why do you feel you have the right to comment on how I worship? I never have asked you about your personal beliefs or practices...it's frankly, NOMB.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Oh LET IT GO! Talk about derailing a thread. All the OP asked for was an opinion on whether or not that cross looked worth the asking price... NOT a biblical lesson or judgment about it being too ostentatious. Ask yourself WWTPD (What Would The Pope Do). Since you used Pope Francis as an example, I would think it's safe to assume he would be pleased she is wearing a symbol of the faith, not worried what it's made of.

Actually he scolded his cardinals just a few weeks ago re: ostentatious symbols of wealth (crosses, lace, jewels, etc.)

The OP isn't a cardinal in the church, she doesn't represent the Vatican around the world, they do, it's just her own personal statement. Sort of like comparing apples and oranges don't ya think? Oh nvm, I need to go look for a brick wall, would be more productive.

It's beautiful and if you would enjoy wearing it and can afford it, go for it.
