At 12:47 today we were dispatched to 15045 Sidney Plattsville Rd., on a missing 3 year old. Deputy Bleigh and K-9 Bandit started the search at the front of the house and within 10 minutes Bandit had located the child. This is exactly why we have dog units, watching this track you could tell very well that Bandit had the scent of the child and was well on his way to finding him. I would like to thank Frank and Bandit for a job well done and it was so amazing to watch this unfold.

This happened in Shelby County, Ohio...

@KatieB   Thanks for posting this.  That is a hero dog.  And they ask so little in return:  pets, a "good dog" compliment,  a treat maybe or a toy, more pets.....

Just one more thing,  If you ever want to give back please make contributions to local police/sheriff departments to purchase bullet proof vests for the canines..  I know it would be greatly appreciated.

Man's best friend, dog is God spelled backwards...I could go on. 

I'm not sure I could ever live without a dog.  I know if I had to the quality of my life would diminish significantly.
