Casey Anthony's mother lied on the stand to protect her daughter. She said that it was her who was looking up information on the computer and not her daughter. I am surprised she wasn't tried for perjury.

"During Casey Anthony’s trial, Cindy Anthony testified about several things:
- She talked about her conversations with Casey in July 2008 when Caylee was missing but not reported.
- She described finding a notice about Casey’s car being towed, retrieving the car with her husband George, and noticing a foul odor and some of Caylee’s belongings in the car.
- She broke down in tears on the witness stand as prosecutors played a 911 tape in which she reported her granddaughter missing.
- In a stunning claim, she said she searched for chloroform on the computer, which was a significant point during the trial."
Did you know that ANY search you ever do on Google is kept by Google FOREVER?
Even something searched many, many years ago .... they can produce it for a criminal trial.

I thought that you were talking about the Bryan Cranston show "The Judge". Didn't he lie to protect his son from a hit and run accident?
@lgfan The show is called "Your Honor". Originally Bryan Cranston was bringing his son into the police to admit to the hit and run.
However when they arrived and Cranston saw the deceased person was the son of a crime lord, he turned around and left with his son in a hurry.
The twists and turns ended in more than one tragedy.

@GingerHead I started a thread in the TV forum. You might like the discussion. It's probably buried by now but I think it should still be there.
