The first time I remember seeing Nicholas Cage was in Valley Girls. This is the song they play at the end of the movie when they ride away in the limo.

I grew up listening to my mom play Abba, Donna Summer, and Kool & the Gang!

Now I'm playing the same music for my kids! 😂

Thriller, Billie Jean, Rock With You, Beat It-Michael Jackson

I like Relax too

I was more a rocker than a Disco Queen, so I really preferred:

Thunderstruck, Back in Black   AC/DC

The big hair arena rock bands--Bon Jovi, Motely Crue, Guns n Roses, Def Leppard, Aerosmith

Anything Michael Jackson...especially PYT & of course 'Thriller'

Anything Madonna (debut 1983...'Burning Up')

Dipping our toes into 1984:

Prince & all his protégés

Dallas clubs had those HUGE video screens on every wall & different dance levels.  A young gal from the Midwest coming of age during this time was a very heady feeling!  Good times!

This reminds me of a Conan O'Brien show where he sang the high notes on "I Like the Nightlife". I couldn't find a youtube video on this. Does anyone know what I talking about?
