I know of NO ONE who is "sticking their heads in the sand" and denying, denying, denying. And no one I know has had coronavirus although some are health care workers and some are teachers. Oh, I live in a county where there's been at least 37 confirmed cases.

Might want ot do a little fact checking on this statement.

I hope that's true but I just this minute, 3 pm, heard it's still increasing.  New Jersey has newest case.  So far 27 dead, 849 confirmed cases and rising.

@Sushismom, there are a lot of people sticking their heads in the sand.  I post in several FB groups where people think this is no big deal. They think all you need to do is wash your hands and everything will be good.  They think anyone who is canceling travel plans is ridiculous. They think this is all being way overhyped and that this isn't nearly as bad as the flu and no one is worried about the flu.

I could go on and on but it annoys me to even think about some of the stuff I've read.

Nursing home staff and professionals the people who deliver food, supplies, laundry etc etc are as vulnerable to COVID 19 as anyone else and it's asymptomatic in some people so they don't even know they have it.  This thing is not as simple as you seem to think it is.  The experts and professionals are doing all they can do.

I don't for a minute believe they are doing all they can in rest home situations, they rarely do, in most of them.

I think they need locked down too. Yes, the staff has to come and go, but reducing the number of people should reduce the risk somewhat too.

I do think that everyone should have the option to remove their loved one, or the resident have the right to leave if they are still of the capacity to make such decisions, prior to the lock down.

@Sushismom  I totally agree.

I've yet to hear any denial but I sure as shoot am reading that if one isn't all in a tizz then one must not care about those who are ill or have died.

As far as "division", only one person at a time can decide to stay divided or step up to the plate and remember we are all in the same boat at all times.

@Cakers3

Reminds me of the over-the-top response to SARS. Being careful doesn't mean being terrified. Nor does it mean sticking your head in the sand. Nor does it mean denying. Being SENSIBLE is one thing.

Because of my health condition, I'm careful about washing my hands and of being in large crowds of people. But that doesn't stop me from going to dialysis twice a week with about 40-50 others.
