Offices full of desks with no computers on them.

Airports where you just wander out to the gates to meet people.

Bookstores everywhere.

Local newspapers with their own journalists.

Only landline telephones.

Stamps cost the same no matter where you buy them

@Wiskota

actually, this is not necessarily true.

stores and shops can sell us postage stamps and books of stamps at higher than their face value. i know several places in our area that do. they add about 50 cents or slightly more for a book of stamps.

Re: What Things are You Thinking of Now as 20th Century?

@SeaMaiden   I love the process of writing out the checks, putting stamps on the envelopes and putting them in my mailbox for the mailman to pick up......flag up!

I still send birthday cards, get well cards, sympathy and so on.

I write out all our year end stuff on a legal pad, add up the columns and only then do I type it up in a document to send to our tax guy.

I buy my stamps from my mailman - 100 at a time.  I always ask for a variety of styles.

I hate LED bulbs.  I bought a huge stash of incandescent bulbs when they were talking about doing away with them.  I will be sad when they are gone. Woman Frustrated
