@Still Raining - you didn't think to maybe go to the post office for a stamp?  Really?

@gidgetgh, I buy them at the supermarket. I think that they cost less.

@suzyQ3 - but seriously, had no idea where to find a stamp?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

What do I think of as 20th century. Hmmmm, let me think.  Personal contact instead of email or texts. Real friends, not just images on a screen. Taking pride in your appearance.. Religion. Decency. Respect and consideration  So many things have been lost in the last 20 years.   I wish we could go back in time.

@suzyQ3    Years ago our supermarket charged an “up charge” for stamps. Is it a national chain that discounts them?  You have me curious now.  I’ve been paying face value for years at the post office.  But I do try to get extra forever stamps before a rate increase.

@deepwaterdotter  I still pay 95% of my bills by mail. I will until I am no longer able to.

@lynnie61, it's called Vons here but Safeway elsewhere. Oh, wait. You know what -- I shouldn't have said USPS. We rent a UPS box for business use. They charge extra for postal stamps. I guess it's a convenience that they offer.

In any case, I buy them at Vons for the same cost as at the USPS. I don't ever relish going to the latter.

Sorry for the confusion. Smiley Happy

@suzyQ3   no worries, yes, I knew UPS store charged extra, I believe Office Depot now also sells them at the same cost as USPS.  I think our supermarket also does now.  Just wondered if I was missing out on some savings.  Thanks for your reply!
