I especially love the sound of

. . .the voices of loved ones

. . . music by Scarlatti, Chopin, and Schubert

. . .my little cat Claire's ridiculously loud snoring.  She's on my current icon and looks so petite and delicate (weighs less than 6 pounds) but her snore sounds like a tuba.

. . .my cat Percy's range of meows.  He is only part Siamese but his vocals range from a "squeaky hinge" freaked-out sound to "police siren" alarm calls.

. . .bird song while the sun comes up on a summer day

. . .tree frogs chirping and rejoicing after a heavy summer rain

My DH's snoring - after years of him travelling all the time for his job he is now at home sleeping in our bed every night. I love it.

My favorite sound is the distant sound of cowbells (everywhere) in the mountains of the Auvergne (central France) while I fall asleep in my tent in a nearby campground. 

Wind chimes

the quiet of an early sunday morning (about 4am)

the soft, muffled silence created by newly fallen snow

Other sounds that I love, in no particular order: 

* rain against the window

* birds chirping, especially in springtime when the baby birds are hatching

* the gentle sounds of a stream

* the sounds of leaves crunching as I walk on them on a brisk Autumn day

* a crackling fire

And two very special sounds... 

* people laughing

* hearing someone say "I love you." (thanks to @MaggieMack for suggesting that one)
