The ocean waves.

My kitties purring.

Bees buzzing around (I past a bottle brush plant today that had a hundred swarming around).

The steam-like sound the coffee maker makes just before it beeps that the coffee is ready.

The happy chomping sound my husband makes when he eats popcorm!

and in the morning I hear him kiss my cheek and say grandma

For some reason hearing crows cawing thrills me and makes me happy.

Wind in evergreen trees.

My husband's chuckle.

My two dogs sighing as they fall asleep in their beds in my room at night.

Our pup snoring, a crackling fire in the fire place, laughing babies, when the timer goes off in the oven and dinner is ready.

My favorite, all time, is a baby giggling out loud. I just love that.

The sound of castanets!

This is going to sound silly, but it is true.  I LOVE the sound of a spoon going into a big bowl of my mom's macaroni salad.  Nothing reminds me of summer, a great childhood, my mom, and good food (not necessarily in that order) than this squishy sound. 

My mom is still with us at age 89 and I am not sure how much longer I will hear this authentic sound.  She still makes mac salad  - wil it be the same if, say, I make the salad?

This post is a good one.

-singing birds all day but especially in the early spring mornings

-rain while I'm laying in bed

-a gentle ocean

-beautiful wind chimes

-the church bells about a block from my house; at noon each day they'll chime a beautiful song that I may know and will sing to

-crunching autumn leaves beneath my feet & my dog's while on our walk

-children on the school playground running and laughing and having fun

-the sounds of silence
