I didn't really sing that much to my grand-
children but I did to my kids.
I had some CD's of lullabies for the grand
children....even the kind you order that says
the childs name as though it is directly
speaking to them. The music was very soft
and calming.

I don't have grand kids but I remember my mother singing to me when I was very young, "Que Sera Sera, whatever will be, will be." I think Doris Day popularized it?

I have been singing some songs from my era and one of these is
"What I like about you"
by the Romantics!
After they heard it in the car from my playlist...
They asked " Nana, why are all of your songs so silly?"
lol
Then, while watching one of their animated "kids" shows, that song was included!
And they apparently said (with their parents in the room) "oh that's Nana's song!" ⭐️

Yes, I forgot about Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. And with hand movements!
I think little ones like that too because it's easy to remember and sing to

@monicakm wrote:funny story about dads and movies. Does anyone remember the movie Airplane? It was a comedy with lots of s*xual undertones. Right after my husband and I married we lived in Dallas. My father was an airline captain that flew out of Dallas. He wanted to see the movie and we did too so we met him at the theater after a flight. None of us knew that it was going to be as provocative as it was. Talk about embarrassing! I wanted to slink under the chair 😳
@monicakm oh I get that! I can't imagine watching anything with s*xual undertones with my dad ! You probably thought it was a comedy . It was a funny movie though .
