Re: What Should Every JUNK DRAWER Have In It To Be a Bonaified JUNK Drawer?

I can't add anything to these all to all too accurate suggestions, but I would add that the draw itself should be so overfilled that it sticks and is difficult to open.

A drawer filled with all sizes of batteries for my flameless candles.

Shocker, but I don't actually have a junk drawer. Never have.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@VanSleepy - why do you keep those?

Um, that's why it is called a JUNK drawer.  ☺

Like most of the other replies, a lot of "junque" just in case....there's also some loose coins & many engraved matchbook covers of weddings we attended back in the day.  Sad to say most of the "happy newlyweds" are now divorced.

I would give everything I own just to have you back again.......David Gates of Bread

Plastic straws, forks, and spoons, Krazy glue (usually dried up) Twist ties, expired Covid test, paper clips and things that just broke and I will repair when I get the chance to....NOT!

@VanSleepy - um to keep pens that don't work and batteries that are dead?  They don't belong in a junk drawer.  They belong in the trash.

Re: What Should Every JUNK DRAWER Have In It To Be a Bonaified JUNK Drawer?

[ Edited ]

I used to have more junk but I made an effort to clean it out last year but it's time to do so again.  I actually have two junk drawers.  One is a very shallow drawer in the kitchen with not a lot of room and the other is in the laundry room where DH has a lot of junk too.

In the kitchen there are endless small pieces of plastic from who knows where?....appliances or tie downs for window coverings?  Scissors, screws, tape, paper clips, old business cards, tape measure, small mini sized tools like the kind you use to repair eyeglasses, pens and some stamps.
