I wouldn't say proud, more that I'm grateful that I was able to care for my parents when they were very ill, cancer and Alzheimer's. I managed to work , care for my family and keep my folks in their home till the end. It wasn't easy, and sometimes I'm not sure how we all made it, but it was my honor and privilege to manage it. I'm grateful for my parents love and the friends who helped out whe the going got too tough. My folks promised each other that they wouldn't have to go to a nursing home, and though it nearly came to that with my dad , his heart gave out before it became necessary.

@JoyFilled Warrior , Thank you, it's funny but when I was going through it it didn't seem so daunting, however when it was all over I wasn't sure how it was accomplished.

I'ts like adrenlin & some kind of Power, just pushed up, lifted us, blinded us to the task & do what was right in front of us, while also, measuring how & with what strength we need to continue & look ahead, what's to go!!

It's veritably miraculous!!

Before moving to here, I had a mask that a woman was balancing the Globe of the World in her raised arm, & cradling a baby with her remaining arm.  And with absolutely no sweat on her brow!  No question!

I love that mask.  I wonder if I can find it again!

Y'know. 

The leaves started to fall here, madly, already.

I just took a few moments to sweep out the bunch of leaves on our indoor landing here.   and with my busy mind, and pumping blood, I got to thinking....

Do you all realize ..  the Woman   POWER and STRENGTH and EXPERIENCE,   we have in this room, right here!!  Im amazed!

You probably had an easier time building your home solo.  Many fights can and do break out over home building and remodels. When we built our home in 1981, I was very pregnant.  No arguments.  Hubby said "you take care of the inside and I'll take care of the outside.  But decades later when we did 3 remodels pretty much back to back, the gloves came off!  And that's all I'm saying about that! lol  Oh, we're still married
