Re: What Makes You Happy?

@Ms X  lol  Did you take a look at the Anastasia line at Sephora?  I use a discontinued pencil from Estee Lauder and I'll have to find a replacement soon.  But it seems that many swear by this line for their brows.  Good luck in your quest!!

Thanks for the info, AliJoi!  They actually had a travel size there for I believe it was Anastasia in the area near the cash register where they have all the small sizes/samples.  It had tweezers, a gel wand, and I assume an eyebrow pencil.  I actually went back to Sephora this afternoon and got Smashbox's Brow Tech Matte Pencil.  I got brunette instead of the darkest one even though my eyebrows are nearly black.  This pencil has a much thinner tip than the cheaper pencils I have.  It's also more neutral in color, without the obvious brown tint that even the dark brown cheaper pencils have.  It comes in matte and shiny, which the saleslady pointed out to me.  I hadn't noticed.  I don't know why anyone would want shiny eyebrows.

I actually tried it a few times and will have to see how it looks in the sun, but this is a big improvement.  I have to get used to having my eyebrows darker than they have been, but they look better because they match my hair and the pencil is a good match for the actual color of my eyebrows.  Some might think it's crazy to give so much thought to this, but it's been bothering me in recent months.  Even if one tries to shape one's brow with tweezers and that little scissors, you don't get the right shape without the right pencil.  I really like this one!  It will save me time going forward now because I'll have the right product and will have a routine as to how to use it.

HSN carries Smashbox, and I've put this pencil in my favorites file so that if it goes on sale I can pick one up.  I get so many things for 70-80+% off that way.

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Ahem!  Let me make one thing perfectly clear.  Winning $1.3 billion $$$$ would make me VERY happy.  ROFL!

Hey, I understand completely @Ms X!  I'm brow obsessed myself!!  Mine are also nearly black, dense, and thick.  I don't really need a pencil, but I do like to define the bottom line just a touch.  I read somewhere about using a charcoal pencil when you have black brows, because using a black one makes you look like Groucho, and using a brown leaves you with that orangey hue, like you said!  So my current pencil is charcoal and I've had good luck with it, but I only use it with a very light hand.  Anyway... I really appreciate your review and will give Smashbox a try!!  Thanks!!

Being with my husband, children, grandchildren. Having a roof over my head and food on the table. Music/concerts, my relaxing hot tub, going on weekly dates with my husband to movies and dinners. Well nothing is more important to me then spending time with family.

Add me to the list of brow obsessed ladies.  It is no doubt due to the fact I can count (on one hand) the hairs in my brows, but the first thing I notice on most ladies are their brows.  I suffer tremendously from brow envy.
