What Kind of Cuff Do You Prefer on Sleeves?

I so often see a blouse or other top that I really like...until I see the type of cuff that is on the sleeve. We could be talking short sleeve or long sleeve tops. I really dislike the "unfinished" sleeve (no cuff...just flopping in the breeze). To me, that cheapens the look. I would rather pay a couple extra dollars for a finished look.

What's your preference?

No cuff

Regular shirt sleeve single button cuff

Double/Triple button cuff

Roll up with tab cuff

Ribbed cuff

Elastic cuff

French cuff

Ruffled cuff

Cuff link cuff

Other??

My preference is "any cuff is better than none!" Thanks.

I wear more knit tops than button front blouses, and most of those have no cuff at all. I own a few roll tabs, a few sweaters with ribs, and one or two tops with an elastic cuff. I think a woven blouse with no cuff at all looks unfinished.

Depends upon the garment style for me.  On long sleeve shirts I like either a cocktail/turn back cuff or a french cuff.  On an elbow length or shorter I like it when the sleeve is turned back and tacked down.  (I don't know the name of that style).

I hate, hate, hate roll tab cuffs, they never look right.

It depends on the garment.  If it's a long-sleeved knit, I prefer a ribbed cuff.  For woven fabrics, a single button cuff is fine.  It's easier for me to say what I don't like, which are elastic and ruffled.

@Allegheny, yes...I forgot about the "turn back" style cuff...love those too. When I was in high school, there used to be a lot of that style for girls, and we had some feminine cuff links to use with them.

I like the 3/4 sleeve with the slit so you easily turn up cuff or wear it down.  In long sleeve I prefer the one button cuff.

Edited for spelling.

@lucymo, another style that I forgot about! 3/4 sleeve is my favorite sleeve length, and it is nice when they have that slit. For one thing, it gives it a somewhat more finished look. I like the slits on the side of tops also.

Me too and they never iron right either.  You can't get a proper crease down the sleeve because the tab is in the way.

For every day tee shirts, I only buy elbow length sleeves.  Long sleeved tee-shirts have to have a ribbed cuff - sweaters too and for button downs I prefer a 2 button cuff.
