What Is Wrong With Me? I Don't Want To Leave My Dogs

We are headed for our first vacation of 2013 and just going for four days and doggies are going into my vet's kennel. I have always thought of them while away but now I miss them already.

When we have gone previously, we have used this kennel or for longer trips my son has come and taken care of them so they get to stay in their own home. My son has moved out of state and we are going with my two dd's and their families.

Do you think it's because we are getting older? We are going next month also and want to plan another trip to Hawaii next year. Any suggestions? I know this will sound weird but I trust the kennel to keep them safer than perhaps paying a neighbor to come in and let them out etc.

One thing this has done is convinced me that when these dogs are walking with God, I won't be getting any more....that makes me sad also.
