What Is The Best Deal You Ever Purchased on QVC or Elsewhere?

[ Edited ]

Just curious to hear about the best bargain you ever purchased anywhere?

Online? In-store? Garage sale?

Here's mine.... Many, many years ago, I bought a "lot" of used, mixed costume jewelry on Ebay for $0.99 and when it arrived it included an authentic Gucci watch in practically new condition. I felt guilty about the purchase and reached out to the seller to tell them about the value of the watch, but they never responded to my email.

Another time I was shopping at a Marshall's store and there was frosted glass butterfly in a locked case at the jewelry counter. It had a clearance price tag of $5. I bought it and later found out that it was Lalique and worth over $100.

What's your favorite bargain purchase? I'd love to hear your story.

In over 30 years of shopping at QVC, I've gotten some nice things but don't recall ever having gotten a screaming hot deal.

At a resale shop,  a brand new full length Pendleton wool coat for $25.  Later found out retail was 500.

My best bargain was a DB faux fur coat.  It was in January, about 4 years ago which is my birthday month & I saw the DB faux fur coat at our Bargain Spot store for $50.00, because it didn't have the hood.   I just about ordered it for $125 on QVC.   I still get compliments on it every time I wear it.

Once they had Philosophy "Falling in love" for 3.4 eu da parfum for like 16.99, everyone alerted others on a qvc facebook page, I bought it, I didn't really care for it but my sister in law appreciated it.

Also years ago shopping at Macys a shirt rang up for 99 cents, the cashier said she had to honor it.

I get brand new Lug bags every summer from someone who sells them for

very little.

These are beautiful bags, same colors and designs QVC sells for a very

minimal price. I would never pay Q's prices on any Lug.

My daughter and I look forward to shopping and picking out new purses

from the large selection. I switch out my purses constantly, get tired of the

same one for too long.

My first QVC purchase soon after they bought CVN was a many piece Corningware French White set.

Still use it today after about 40 years, that's a bargain lol.

Do remember the price was very reasonable.  That helped me get hooked on QVC.

Also wanted to add regarding T.J. Maxx stores, I have found lots of Slatkin

candles there around $15 to $18 each his soaps are $4.99 a bottle at my

store anyway. The thing I dislike about QVC candles are usually you have

to purchase two in a set of the same scent.  I usually only want one of each

scent, not buying two of the same.

I have found Philosophy creams and shower gels too. Of course there is

not much of a selection but when you see something that you like and

smells good the deals are there.

Another local store in my area sells closeouts of Logo, Susan Graver,

Kim Gravel clothing. The prices usually are in the range of $8.00 to

$15.00 a piece. I would never pay full price for any QVC clothing.

The deals are out there, rethink some of the really high clothing prices,

it's really getting crazy, shirts $50 and up, no way would I ever spend

that much.
