Almost everything! The older I get, the more I am like my dear mother of blessed memory. I also look like her now more than I ever did.

Voting.  My mother never missed voting in an election.  She used to take us to the polls with her when she voted to share her experience of making her voice heard.

When I'm upset I always think of my mom.   She would always be there for me, comfort me, hug me and tell me that everything will be better in the morning.   There are so many days I think of her since the passing of my husband and I wish she was here to help me during this difficult time.

I talk to myself alot these days, something my mother did.

Also, when I'm cleaning I think of her. Growing up,it's  our immaculate house was never clean enough for her.

Sneezing a number of times in a row. I found it annoying but now do it myself. The snow is melting and the molds and allergens are popping out.

Any John Wayne movie that comes on and any Conway Twitty song that plays.

My mom and I were also pretty different but there are a few things we are alike and one of those is having a schedule for doing certain things or having certain meals, etc.  on the same day of the week.  She had a certain day for laundry and a certain day for cleaning.  Growing up, we had eggs a lot for our Saturday lunch and Sunday after church was fried chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy.  I have a set day for laundry (although it is different from hers).  Almost every Saturday for lunch, I have a grilled cheese and Sunday lunches are always scrambled eggs or omelettes.
