Two books that helped me raise my son because my own mother was a mean, falling down drunk and no kind of role model..I wouldn't let her spend any time alone with him because her drunenness made her unreliable and untrustworthy (she lied a lot, as do most addicts).m +

 

Dr. Spock's babt book--he got what I've always thought was a bum rap for being, what a lot of people called him, "permissive". He most certainly was not; he was one of the proponents of letting a baby "cry it out" at certain times

 

The other one was titled "Your Baby And Child From Birth To Age 3" whose name escapes me (my son was born and 1984 and is getting close to age 40.

I still shop for bargains/deals.  I buy quality so that it lasts and serves me well.  

 

I do laundry and don't put it off.  I care for and store the things I do have and I don't need to make expenditures because of any carelessness.

rocky gems, could you post some pictures? my mother had a lot of cheesy costume jewelry and the sight of it always made me smile.
