I respectfully disagree. They are both expressing themselves in their very own unique way. Personalities are all different and a one size doesn't fit all in life. Just because someone has become older, that shouldn't mean they have to change who they are, what they like and enjoy to fit into the "old mold" The Woman with the red hair looks like a lot of fun to me. "Live and let live" is my favorite motto.

Don't mean to contradict, but I like the picture of the second lady, too.
Personaly I look better without makeup, but to me the picture shows her joy.
Why shouldn't older women celebrate their joy? They are not looking for dates, my goodness, they are showing what they like to look like in older years. Why not?
Life is fairly tough on everyone in later years. Good for her to present herself as she wants to.
Those of us who are older know we are just supposed to hide away. Good for her for ignoring this!

Today is my birthday, and much of what I would say has already been said.
Perhaps I'll come up with something tomorrow... I'm off to have birthday cake. ![]()

Aging gracefully...
-Eating nutritionally
-Exercising regularly (helps fluid retention, tones muscles, keeps skeleton strong, helps balance and vision, circulation
-Skin care every day
-Dress elegantly casual available at any price
-Keep current with topics for conversations
The one thing I really dislike about aging issues on my face is dimpling! I will even try Botox when my skin care stops working to control these issues!
Isomers Acetyl hexapeptide actually DOES unwrinkle. It's very effective and here is one secret as to why... if I keep after the creasing areas (ie: above lips and between brows) by applying this product several times per day, the creasing stops for a short period of time! (Next day)š¤©

Aging gracefully.... accepting the changes that age brings. We should take good care of ourselves - exercise, food, etc etc - but the rest is natural and we should go with it and be proud of ourselves.

I think aging gracefully is embracing your age, not fighting or denying it, and appreciating the blessings that come with it.
Some of the blessings I see are wisdom, patience, acceptance, understanding, and empathy.

Health is most important of all but sadly I think too many are so overly concerned with looks. I for one don't care so much that I have a few lines and thinning hair. I am 71 and almost 10 years breast cancer survivor so for me health means the most. I am lucky to be aging!!
