This woman is an example of aging gracefully.

This is a picture of a woman not aging gracefully.

Glad you are feeling better and back.
You know I am in my last year of 80's and so far, so good. I thank God everymorning and throughout the day for all my good blessings. S o far able to do everything myself around the house and yard and continue my exercising everyday. I think that is one of the reasons for living so long.
I find the blessing in each day. I also keep the mind active with exercing it and keeping it active with reading, and interacting with people of all ages.
I take good care of my mind and body.
I dress nice everyday, even if I am not going out that day. I keep up with my beauty routine.
I try not to mingle wlith real negative people. People that just want to talk about all their problems. Yet, i do give them advice if I can help with the problem. It's hard to be old in body, but not in mind. I also take classes that help to mingle with people and learn something new.
Some are not as forunate as I am with their health, but still have value with their mind.

It's none of your business what I think Aging Gracefully is.

People can do whatever they want to look younger, not my business what anyone else does in that regard. If I had the money I would do it too, it's a tough world for anyone over the age of 50. Especially for women.
For me the first thing that comes to mind about aging gracefully is not behaving like a teenage mean girl or a bullying man child after a certain age. Not many things are less graceful than that.

Listening to my friends of 60 years talk and finding it hard to believe we're all the same age. When did they get so old in their beliefs? Sometimes I think I need to find new friends; about 40 years younger! I attribute it to the fact that I'm still working and out there in the world; and they all are retired and mostly vegetate. Or they go on those day trips with the senior citizens. Never gonna happen in my lifetime.

This sure seems like an overly harsh response to the question.

Aging gracefully is taking things one day at a day and understanding that some days will be better than others. Appearance, material possessions, and riches become less important as we prioritize differently. People who are kind, caring, helpful, thoughtful, and loyal mean a lot.

It has nothing to do with looks, attitude is everything!

Yesterday I saw an older man with a T-shirt that said "Growing Old Disgracefully" ![]()

Finding joy in each day. Enjoying exercise (preferably outside on a sunny day) but any day with fresh air is great. Meeting family and friends often for a meal or to attend an art show or concert. Volunteering in the community.
Raking leaves day after day! Moving patio furniture into garages each year myself. Passing all the checks at my PCP's appt. today (memory, weight, MBI, A1C, labs, walking, strength & body flexibility, and more). Wearing little make-up, going from light brown to gray/blonde naturally. Wearing Birkenstock's w/o socks 365 in Nebraska! A bubble bath instead of a quick shower. Music and a good book instead of TV or streaming. Custard in the oven to share with a friend who I met in third grade. Relax and enjoy life; it's short.
Living life alone in this large house we bought with plans to retire together here. I've learned to maintain this property to both of our satisfaction and work with pride to keep it as beautiful as when my husband was still living.
