Therefore, none of your friends have ever been to your home?  So do you just go to theirs or meet out somewhere?   If they don't have your exact address, they could still stop by if they've ever been to your place, so I guess not.

Then they aren't your real friends, but acquaintances imo.

Do you know where they live?

Re: What Do You Think About The Pop In

i dont mind it generally.....it is part of our culture.

however, if i was in the shower, or sleeping , or busy on the phone or doing work i probably would not necessarily answer the door.

It depends on who it is, but it's not ok for anyone to pop in at any time.

Re: What Do You Think About The Pop In

Life was a lot simpler when I was in my 20's as I hadn't accumulated so much stuff.  We always popped in on one another and didn't think anything of it.

And too many cats (3).  If you open my front door and one runs out, that's not going to be good.

Not being rude but rather curious.  I can't imagine my friends never having been to my home, and I don't think I've ever had friends for any length of time when I haven't been to their home.  So I'm having trouble figuring out how this is.....?

But thanks so much for your constructive comment.  Smiley Sad

It's rude for people to pop-in without calling etc.. I was replying to the Op.

Your post wasn't rude.

@missy1 Oh so sorry I misunderstood.  I changed my post. Thanks mssy1 for explaining. Smiley Happy

Re: What Do You Think About The Pop In

I don't mind the pop ins really.

I have so much family that lives close by.  They. along with their friends do come over and I'm used to it.

I'm not ashamed to still be in my jammies in the afternoon.  Everyone knows that!

But we're in a new area right now working on a house.  I mean the place is TORE UP.  Sometimes I'll just sit out on the front porch to get away from the noise, the dust or the madness.

And along will come a neighbor to introduce themselves.  And they are dressed really nice and I'm wearing the worst of the worst of clothes.

The other day my brother laughed because I put on lipstick to go sit outside.  Mind you I had paint all over my hand and arm.  Paint on my jeans, and flips flops.  And speckles of paint all over my face and in my hair.
