@Dinaki  as long as IRS has your direct deposit information, you both should it. If not by direct deposit, then by mail. Have you checked the IRS site? It´s irs.gov and go to ¨Get my Payment¨ Put your husband´s information in and it should give you an idea of when.

PS: I just asked my husband about that and guess what, we have the check. It's written on both names (mine and his).

I am so glad that I post my question here and that you Sage04 openned my eyes!

@Dinaki the easiest website I have found is Get My Payment (IRS). It should provide the answers you need - it helped me.

Good luck to us all.

Oops, I just saw that you had your question answered GOOD JOB.

@Dinaki  oops lol.  Happened to my cousin. They are seperated though, and she told me she didn´t expect him to find out. Anyway, he got his half.

You are welcome.

It is doubtful you can keep it.

I am unable to say what I am going to say without sounding harsh and do not mean to hurt your feelings, but the stimulus checks are for the living to help people get through these dark times.

Hold onto that stimulus check for your dad until receiving confirmation from the government.

Each time a person receives something from somewhere that is meant for someone who has passed it is but another reminder of the passing of a love one, and it hurts.

You will do what is right and find out the facts because you would not do anything wrong with something that has his name on it.

Thank you everyone for your input.

I have decided to set the check aside in a drawer, until such time that the government has a 100% iron clad definitive answer as to what to do with it.

That way, if/when they want it back, I'll send it back, and they would get 100% of it back, with not so much as one single penny spent.

With that, I am going to ask the Mods to close/lock this thread.

Again, thank you for your input.
