Here is a good one: Mean Streak by Sandra Brown. This is her new book published this month. It is great! The main character is injured while training for a marathon and rescued by a mystery man who will not disclose even his name. The mystery that follows brings nearly everyone into suspicion and hardly anyone is who they seem to be. I like smart characters and lots of action. This book is 5 stars.

On my list. I really enjoy her books. Thanks for the good review.

SAgal: Am half way through The House We Grew Up In which is one of the most interesting books I have read in a very long time!! I have a friend who is so much like the main character so I can relate to the turmoil she goes through in trying to get rid of anything!! The characters are remarkably likeable and there are a twists and turns in this book I was NOT expecting!! I will for sure make Lisa Jewell my new favorite author and will read a lot more of her books but when I am done with this one, MUST finish Iron House by John Hart!

I generally read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum during the summer, but missed last year so I read #17 last month and found it so/so. Picked up 18 this month and found it less than so/so, so I think I'm finished with her. Same topics, same conversations, same dithering about everything. Sad - because I really enjoyed the series for years.

My BFF says the same thing. I guess I'm just not outgrowing them. I loved them from book 1 and they are still the same and I love being back there with the same zany characters. I love how the crooks are always 'regular' guys. I love Grandma Mazur. Lula still cracks me up. I love how Steph blows up cars. I love Joe and Ranger. I love Bob the dog. Should I go on? Are you getting the picture? hahahaha

Hey lori!!! I told ya! I knew you'd love it. I'm heading over to youtube now to see Louis. (don't let me down in December, Angelina!!!)

lainey, not sure if you noticed this. On the Community Home Page they have created a link to your thread (this one) and called it the QVC Book Club. How great is that!

Props to lainey - thank you for doing this each month. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

LOST by MICHAEL ROBOTHAM. I enjoyed the first book in the series much better. The series features a detective and a psychologist. This second book hardly showcased the psychologist. The setting is in London.

How about The Husband's Secret? Good story but left me kind of unsettled. Well worth reading. Would like to see it become a movie!

Just finished An Officer And A Spy, by Robert Harris. Great historical fiction based on the Dreyfus Affair.

I just finished David Jeremiah's book What in the World is Going On? It's a very good read. If one is interested in "end times", and what the Bible has to say, you will enjoy this book.

Jud, I always listen to you and thanks again. I wondered why Angelina cast the movie with unknowns and foreigners but then realized that's genius. I don't want to see Tom Hanks pretending to be in Japan. The unfamiliar people will keep us focused on the story.

Did you see the Youtube video of Louis and Angelina? He looked soooo proud Smiley Happy What an undertaking. I admire her so much.
