Re: What Are You Reading --- November 2014

I read True Believers by Kurt Anderson. If you went to college during the 60's this book might be of interest as it covers a lot of the events that happened back then intertwined into the story of the woman protagonist. It goes back and forth between the present and her junior high through college years.

Picked up Ape House by Sara Gruen. Loved Water for Elephants so hope this one is as good. It's a few years old but I hadn't heard of it. Mystery about The Great Ape Language Lab that works with a family of Bonobos, a highly intelligent primate species. Ape House

Just a quick note...I don't always respond to these threads, but do read them, and appreciate the recommendations. I have to choose my book club pic for January, so I'm paying attention.

I finished another Agatha Raisin mystery last night. I've grown fond of Agatha! Next up: LAST NIGHT AT THE BLUE ANGEL by Rebecca Rotert.

Nanci Kincaid has become a favorite of mine..just finished "Verbena". the story of a southern woman whose life seems to be a tale in tragedy, but it is humorous and touching all the way through.

A wonderful story and good book club choice is Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline if you like fiction with a real story as its base and interesting characters.
