I can honestly say I doubt there's one person here interested in what I'm reading now, hahahaha. It's a REALLY bad horror novel. Looked good when I ordered it from Great Britain. Will look good in the trash because I don't even know anyone I dislike enough to pass it on.
SWEET, thanks for the kind words about my review on last month's thread. It just fell out of my mouth (fingers?) and I like it so much, I'm saving it for Amazon, but not for that book. I'll know the book when I meet it, LOL.

Just for giggles, please share the title. We can't always be reading classic literature, lol.

Okay, Sydney
It's The Haunted Book, a "novel" (technically, only) by Jeremy Dyson. The only thing frightening about it is that I paid The Book Depository $11.92. It's not even remotely scary but worse, it's substantially incoherent.
Here's a link to it (I can't figure out how to copy the cover, but the cover should have been a BIG clue this is an utterly stupid book).
And please feel free to laugh at me all you want, I'm laughing at myself -- when I take a break from kicking myself.

Lori, I hope you're thinking about writing a book yourself. You have such a clever way with words!

We've all been warned! Here's the cover......

No, Sydney, it's the other cover -- which is far, far worse, LOL. The one the link leads to. Ugly AND cheesy and not scary at all. And yet I fell for it!!!!
That's the horror!
p.s. if you edit your post to put the other cover, I'll edit my post to take out the "No, Sydney..." ![]()

Just finished Wendy Wax's The House On Mermaid Point which is the 3rd in this series. Much better than the last one. So far, every book has ended in sadness.
Going to read James Patterson Unlucky 13 next. I always say that I'm going to stop reading this series since it's getting old but never do. I'll probably read #14 coming out this Spring.

Hi everyone, and a happy March to you all!
Thank you Lainie for your monthly discussions, giving us a safe, happy place to discuss our love affair with our books.
A few days ago I started A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler, who happens to be my favorite author.
I'm not exactly loving it yet. I don't know why I haven't gotten into it yet. It's still quite early in the book, but I'm finding it very, very slow going. Now it could be my mood, and I hope it is, but this book better start doing something for me, and soon!
Happy reading everyone, and have a great weekend.
