But lately we've enjoyed homemade beef stroganoff with thick homemade noodles from one of the nearby German communities, stuffed pork chops, stuffed French toast, and chicken piccata (which is a common dish for us-- loaded with capers, of course). Thank goodness we don't eat like this all the time! Oh-- did I mention homemade caramel apples, both Jonathan and Granny Smith? Just plain caramel, which we think is much better than Mrs. Prindables, which have too much extra stuff stuck to them!
You wouldn't happen to be looking for a roommate, would you?
Well, when I peel apples and when we eat the caramel apples, we put peelings and juicy cores out for our furry friends. And in winter, I make and ccut into small squares s nutritious peanut butter sandwiches for the squirrels! The birds swoop down for the peanut butter treats, too.

I'll be on the lookout. heh
Just so you know, the apple seeds are toxic to many animals, so make sure you don't put those out. I'm smart enough to avoid them, but some of my little buddies don't know any better.
Thanks for the apples and peanut butters!!

I have no idea, @mistriTsquirrel - don't really follow it myself.
Maybe it was a dare? ;-)

I throw the seeds away. I can't recall what the poison is, but maybe it's arsenic? I have to look it up. Later: I looked it up, and the poison is cyanide.

But wouldn't the shorts have been pink or something if it was a dare? heh

I'm actually enjoying my morning run again and having the windows open and the warm afternoons..
I'm not liking the shorter days however.
The shorter days thing is kind of a bummer. Not because I dislike the night, but it just messes with my days, and I think it may affect my mood in general to not have as much sunlight.

Gotta make sure the squirrel murder rate doesn't go up too. Squirrel away enough of those things, and a squirrel could take out his/her spouse instead of just getting a divorce. Happens all the time.

We left Pa. on wednesday to return to Florida. It was very cold up there - we had frost warnings each night, and raining all day the last few days we were there. We couldn't wait to leave but hurricane matthew decided we needed to stay a few more days.We expected to see a lot of beautiful fall leaves on our trip through the W Va & Va mountains but it was mostly still all green. Here in Florida there is no real fall or spring. The seasons just sort of melt into each other. It's still hot & humid here, which is way better than the freezing cold and dreary we left behind.
