Re: What Are You Enjoying This Fall?

 Nice post! I'm enjoying crisp apples, fresh off the trees, my grandchildren "helping" to rake leaves, the last few mornings that I'm able to enjoy coffee on the patio before it gets too cold. The woodpile, stacked neatly for the first upcoming fire in the fireplace. Hunkering down in our home with hot chocolate after enjoying a hot, humid Summer. I love Fall!

Today was great. Spent it with GS, DS & fiancé at The Morton Aboretum.

My feet hurt LOL but it was fabulous!  14,934 steps.

Re: What Are You Enjoying This Fall?

We have had weeks and weeks of superb weather. The sky in the fall often becomes more periwinkle than bright blue, and that is reflected in the lake, which doubles the beauty of the skyline. We had a few cooler days which got me in a cooking mood. We don't cook every day. But lately we've enjoyed homemade beef stroganoff with thick homemade noodles from one of the nearby German communities, stuffed pork chops, stuffed French toast, and chicken piccata (which is a common dish for us-- loaded with capers, of course). Thank goodness we don't eat like this all the time! Oh-- did I mention homemade caramel apples, both Jonathan and Granny Smith? Just plain caramel, which we think is much better than Mrs. Prindables, which have too much extra stuff stuck to them!

I love autumn.  There are things about each season that I like, actually.

Now that the weather is a little cooler, I'm starting to feel like it truly is fall.

Lately I've been enjoying this lotion that I bought at the end of last year and just opened recently.  It's "Spiced Apple" by a company called MillCreek Botanicals.  It's a really nice scent for the fall.

What are you enjoying this fall season?

@mistriTsquirrel

Re: What Are You Enjoying This Fall?

It's my favorite season too, but it's really not fall yet here in SE Pennsylvania.  A few trees are turning but not many.  Still early here.  We usually get the full fall colors around Halloween.

I don't like any of the spicy fall smells so no candles burning here.

Not a fan of pumpkin.  I can eat it fine to be polite but I never cook or do anything with it.  And I'm WAY OVER pumpkin spiced anything.  Talk about overkill in the last few years.

I am liking cooler weather and watching as much college and pro football as I can.  Also, watching the MLB playoff games even though my Texas Rangers got blown out the first 3 games.  Giant SWEEP!!   Go Indians!!!!

Thanks, @fortune !!  I did go back to my depression thread in wellness and mentioned a little bit about what's going on with me.

How are you and Jasper doing?

@Bridgegal

Yeah, I can only handle so much pumpkin stuff, but I like to have a little bit each year.
