Our neighbor about a 1/2 mile from here just called said, "I'm cooking and am bringing you guys dinner.  I'm making stuffed shells and meatballs, I'll call when I leave the house."

DD will venture down the driveway and meet her, she is 64 and had knee surgery last year so we don't want her to risk carrying food even though we are plowed out.

What a doll she is, and the woman can cook to boot.

Such a contrast with the knucklehead next door.

@CrazyKittyLvr2   So nice to have wonderful neighbors, but I think you are, indeed, a nice neighbor also!  Nice treat for a welcomed dinner.  Sometimes, just wanting something different after all our months of cooking.

Sharing, kind neighbors are a gift from heaven.  This year I have come to treasure mine.

Every so often I hear a honk and they wait to see me come out.  Usually their excuse is a couple of fresh eggs.

@Greeneyedlady21  and @LizzieInSRQ   I assume she objected to my term of knucklehead.

Well, what would you call someone who has 10 dogs and lets them run all over, doesn't spay or neuter.  They are always in my yard.  His bull gets in our yard too. He is too lazy to fix fences.

Does target practice at 11 at night for an hour.

Has junk cars and machinery all over his yard.

I'd say "knucklehead" is being kind.

@Greeneyedlady21   Yep, a big old bull, horns and all.  He likes to fertilize the lawn.  He mosies around til they realize he out and they come and chase him back.

I feel sorry for the dogs, the females are always pregnant.  More than one has been hit on the road.  He just gets more.
