After a month of brutal heat in the Southwest, the monsoon season has arrived.  I awoke this morning to 55° and a light rainfall, with a high of 75° predicted.  It has now cleared off and is beautiful but very windy.  My AC is OFF.  More rain predicted for evening and every cool day this week.  It is very rare for it to cool so much here this time of year but is a welcomed respite.

Strange how our weather here in the desert has flip-flopped with that of the Northern half of the country now experiencing extreme heat.  It'll be back here too but we'll enjoy the cool while we can.

Please send some of your cooler weather to us in the Pacific NW!  We desparately need it!

We're having a "heat wave" (3 days in the 90s) here in MA.  Has been unseasonably warm, yet nothing like you experience.

I can relate though, it is nice to shut off the AC and just enjoy the cool breezes.

@LuvmyLab    Believe me we paid our dues and earned a few nice days.  Yours will undoubtedly return shortly.  Wish I could loan my AC today.

@Kachina624  We have AC in our house, our cars and where we both work so we are ok. I just feel for those here that don't.  So many don't because we never have this kind of heat.  I saw on CNN today that we have the hottest temps in the US. They would have to go out of the country to find higher temps than us.

@Kachina624  I live further west and it will be 108 to day and 109 tomorrow. If monsoon weather arrives later in the week, we'll have 104 temps with heavy humidity.

I was just mentioning to my sister the other day, how its been a strange summer here in South Texas with all the rain.....And the northern part of the country is  experiencing extreme heat and yet here we've had a moderately mild summer for us anyway....and more rain expected this week with temperatures in the upper 80's and its almost July!!!---😲😲.....I remember some years its been in the upper 90's or 100 even on the 4th of July.....
