1. Pearlee,  The reason for those "balls" is that when they jump in the water, it protects their joints and organs, by keeping them warm.  I am mom to a Standard Poodle but I don't keep my Gracie in that cut.  Needless to say, I was thrilled that a SPO won!  After raising 2 sons, Gracie is the daughter I never had!

My favorite: Lobo the siberian Husky when he strolled around the agility course, his own time and playing to the crowd...Won our hearts and made us LOL.....You can see the video online, adorable..

Gracie is absolutely ADORABLE!!!  I wish they'd change the standard cut to the same one Gracie has....

I'd love to see more "working class" dogs win. When the beagle won, there was so much celebration. I don't think I've ever seen such a huge reaction to a BIS before. I used to own a beagle, Bailey (RIP) and it was great to see a hound get that honor because they are such wonderful dogs. My late mom had a golden/border collie mix named Yoshi. He was a great dog and fun to be around.

We had a Beagle too and she was the best and sweetest dog....love the hound howl....
