Re: Went down another music rabbit hole...

LOVE that song.....70's & 80's music for me.  I was in high school in the 70's, and still love all those songs.  When I was in grade school, I got a transistor radio with earphones and every night I would lay in bed and listen to lots of motown.  I've loved music my whole life and all those songs bring back special memories for sure.

Listening to music from the past is always bittersweet for me...

GAWD, how I miss those days...

And yet...

The 70's & 80's music is and always will be THE BEST...

@Susan Louise I agree!  I saw Peter Frampton at my college in 1975 during his "Frampton Comes Alive" tour.

I miss those days!  Lots of fun and nice to be young, but we took it for granted.

Re: Went down another music rabbit hole...

I love 60s and 70s music so much!  That 68-73 had soooooo many great groups and bands.  While, I think I sometimes I didn't like to study so much in school, but how is it that we know the words to every 60s and 70s song that comes on the radio.  I got a tape recorder when I was 12, and I filled cassette, after cassette with song after song after song of great 60s and early 70's music.

What a great song.

I saw Frampton several times in the 70's. That gorgeous hair and silky smooth voice.

Those were the days.

Of course since I was a teen and early 20s in the 70s, that will always be an era of music I gravitate towards.  And I had a HARD crush on Peter Frampton.  I mean like one you would see at a Beatles concert of women crying LOL  All that beautiful hair Smiley Happy  Music brings back so many memories and feelings.

Now, I have found SO MUCH new and great music on, of all places, Instagram Smiley Surprised  Songs that people add to their IG reels.  There is a small clickable icon and it will take you to the whole song.  I'll tell Google to play it and then I say "thumbs up" and it will add the song to my play list.

@monicakm Here's a great video on youtube from a concert in 1977 (the yr I graduated high school). The title of the video:

Peter Frampton - Baby, I Love Your Way - 7/2/1977 - Oakland Coliseum Stadium (Official)

@Susan Louise & @monicakm, I was at that concert. I loved him too & told my sister that, & she said "But he's tiny! What're you gonna do? Sit him on your lap?!" LOL!  Smiley LOL

LOLOL!  I just Googled how tall is Peter Frampton.  5'8".  That's how tall my husband is and nearly 8" taller than me.    I'm sure I could have figured out something to do with him Smiley Wink  He's basically bald now.

Another Peter Frampton fan here.  I loved that song, Baby I love Your Way.  He's still got it.  Even though he's older.

So many  styles of music .

Friends and I would sit aroundin the 70's & 80's and compare the  guitarists  . We would all have an opinion of who was the most talented  musician  such as  Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton , Jeff Beck,  Duane Allman ,  Carlos Santana,  Prince, Mark Knofler ,  Keith Richards,  David Gilmor, Joe Satriani Eddie Va Halen, Billy Gibbons  , Joe Walsh, George Harrison, Pete Townsend, Stephen Stills,  Brian May , Joe Perry , Lindsay Buckingham  , among others .

 So many wonderful musicians

@Snoopp I saw him in concert too back in 1977 or so. What a cutie he was. Did you know that he is not well? I recently read that he suffers from a degenerative condition that requires him to use a cane.  He is still determined to tour and record.

As far as the best music? Definitely the 60s/70s.
