Went down another music rabbit hole...

Today it started with Peter Frampton's 'Baby I Love Your Way'...

Listening to music from the past is always bittersweet for me...

GAWD, how I miss those days...

And yet...

The 70's & 80's music is and always will be THE BEST...

Of course since I was a teen and early 20s in the 70s, that will always be an era of music I gravitate towards.  And I had a HARD crush on Peter Frampton.  I mean like one you would see at a Beatles concert of women crying LOL  All that beautiful hair Smiley Happy  Music brings back so many memories and feelings.

Now, I have found SO MUCH new and great music on, of all places, Instagram Smiley Surprised  Songs that people add to their IG reels.  There is a small clickable icon and it will take you to the whole song.  I'll tell Google to play it and then I say "thumbs up" and it will add the song to my play list.

For me the late '50s (Buddy Holly, et al) and the '60s were the best.   Now I listen to classical music--LOL!!

I love the music of the 70s and 80s.  But as far as their music always being the best?

The 1960s called and said....."Hold my beer...."

Re: Went down another music rabbit hole...

I so agree about both decades.  I received my AARP magazine for this month in today's mail.  Jon Bon Jovi is on the cover, made me feel so old.  He was not as popular in the '80's as opposed to later decades but his age  and high school graduation is the same as mine and he is so stinkin cute.

Boston and Foreigner will be forever my favorite bands from that time period.

@monicakm Here's a great video on youtube from a concert in 1977 (the yr I graduated high school). The title of the video:

Peter Frampton - Baby, I Love Your Way - 7/2/1977 - Oakland Coliseum Stadium (Official)

@monicakm  Watch it to the end...you'll understand why. Smiley Happy

I've been playing it several times today. I'm drawn in by now only Peter Frampton, but the crowd and the close ups. I have been to countless concerts and it just brings me back as if I was right there with them.

Sigh...

I agree with you about the 60's songs.  What other decade had such a great variety of songs that ranged from love songs to anti-war songs.   The Doors is my favorite band.

And the music was so relaxing back then.  I loved the 60's and 70's music.
