Re: Well this a FIRST! UPS & Amazon

Amazon delivery packages are timed too.  I've had drivers sprint up my drive to deliver the package.  Amazon is DRIVEN to deliver, it's like they are trying to beat each other to death just to deliver a package.  Since my city has a Amazon warehouse you order, blink & it's there on the front porch.

Re: Well this a FIRST! UPS & Amazon

It seems there are a lot of pre holiday subs working for UPS, I am on the second floor of a 2 story condo my usual driver will always leave my packages at my door while the sub will leave them down by the mail boxes

Re: Well this a FIRST! UPS & Amazon

I have a PO Box.  However some places won't deliver to that.  What gets me is when I am forced to use our physical address, the delivery company hands off to the PO!  Then I have to show the PO the delivery record for them to find it.  I have started adding the box number on the second address line.

Another peeve is when I order from Amazon on a Friday with guaranteed delivery on a Sunday.  My package is delivered on Sunday, yes, but to the PO and I can't get it until Monday.

yes fast delivery (3 days) the issue was more a surprise the way package was handled🙄.

I've never experienced this so guess after reading other comments it's becoming the normal😉

Re: Well this a FIRST! UPS & Amazon

Reading all this makes me appreciate the service I get even more. I would like to tip these guys, but there are too many. UPS has at least 3 drivers here, FedEx has 3 based on the type of delivery. One of my FedEx guys brings cookies for my 3 dogs. The dogs know which truck means which driver and when the cookie man does a delivery, there is a frenzy to get outside and reach onto the chair where the box has been neatly laid with 3  cookies on top.

If I can get outside before a driver reaches my front gate, I do scurry out to save these guys the extra steps to my front porch.

Unrelated, but one of my dogs can read. When a Chewy box arrives, he jumps onto the box and starts tearing at it in a frenzy.  Only Chewy boxes. I asked Chewy if they scent their boxes, but they said no.

And if your Amazon delivery is like mine, the delivered text I receives has a picture of where it is.  Love that service

Most are delusional if they think their packages are

c.a.r.e.f.u.l.l.y coddled in the many shipping hubs they go through

before they reach your doorstep.

Re: Well this a FIRST! UPS & Amazon

I have had that happen to me on occasion. I had no idea their deliveries were timed. Now that I know, it explains a lot. I have had my package delivered to my neighbor's house, and mine delivered to his several times.. Nothing has ever been broken or otherwise damaged because of the mishaps, and  I am just grateful that I have received all of my packages, and that they were all intact.  I have read several threads where people did not receive their packages, or received them in horrible shape also, and I agree with the poster that encouraged your friend to report it.

Re: Well this a FIRST! UPS & Amazon

My regular UPS driver always comes to my door and requires a signature. Knowing they are on a time schedule, I try to get to the door when I hear him coming and don’t to any chit chat other then to thank him. I do give him a Holiday gift with written note thanking him for his service and courtesy throughout the year. I do not give gifts to any temporary replacements when regular driver has his days off. Reading this thread, looks like I’m lucky.
