Well, now there's more red leaves on a couple of our trees.

Actually very pretty.  It just feels to me, like the summer flew by.  I was busy though, that's probably why.

We got a big hard rain storm early this a.m. too. Wonder if anyone else got it too.

In TV and Movies, I did list 3 other movies I watched in case anyone is looking for ideas if you have Showtime.

We had bad storms in the very early hours this am.  I've noticed some leaves on the ground but I live in the Southeast and cooler weather is a long ways off for us.  We remain hot and humid well into and usually even into the end of October.  Can't get here soon enough for me.

We have been under a flash flood watch since last night. So far, not one drop of rain. Our leaves are already changing…to brown…because they are dead from the long, hot summer. I am bummed and am so tired of this summer heat. Bring on the fall.

@qualitygal

We have a whole lot of different color maple trees. They are all still very green.

Sadly, I'm seeing lots of yellow, red and brown leaves in some of my large trees and shrubs. But, it's not an indication of fall coming. They're dying from the drought my TX area has suffered this summer. This has been bad.

Still lush and green by me, but by Sept 1, we'll have color starting.

Our flood watch has been in force since last night...and still no rain. I would love to see some green leaves

I wouldn't live there , but, the prettiest areas are like Maine, West Va.

go up during the Fall leaf times then get out before those cold winters.

Re: Well, now there's more red leaves on a couple of our trees.

I'm in MA, leaves won't change color for about a month when it gets much cooler.  Fall never comes in mid August.  We are still in the 90's with severe drought conditions.  We haven't any real rain all summer and we desperately need it.  It would not surprise me if Fall came late this year.  Which except for the rain situation, would be wonderful wonderful for me.  I love summer, I love everything about summer.  Fall is nice but it's short and Winter is right behind it.  Months and months of Winter.

@qualitygal , my burning bush has definitely started to change colour and I see a red spot here and there as well.  I am in Nova Scotia.  The early colour is due to low precipitation, not cold weather.  It has been worse in other years but we still have long stretches with no rain.  And when it comes, it usually comes hard.  LM
