@ShowMe wrote:OP......sorry you are feeling sad today. Know the feeling, have been there, done that. Now, I am so content in my apartment, because I love it here. I have my little furry cat, Mr. Lucky.....he is such good company, and a lot of fun. Darling personality.
I am pretty much home bound because of having cancer and in the 2nd year of chemo treatments. I tire out very easily and that keeps me here a lot of the time. Have my friends, good neighbors, and the TV.....Also have games on my computer, which I love to play.
My eyes don't let me do some of the handy work I like to do, but if I can't do it, there is nothing I can change with that. The chemo has really affected my vision, and there are some days where everything is a big blur.....
Don't know your age, but life is too short to be sad a good amount of the time.
Here's hoping you can find something you can enjoy doing. That would help you a lot. I'm not one that likes to tell people what to do in situations such as yours.
I will be thinking of you and saying prayers. God bless.

I am sorry you're sad today.
I'm watching the Oscars and was inspired by what the winners of the Oscar for Best Animated Film, Inside Out, said.
He empathized with junior high students (but it applies to anyone) who might feel angry, sad, or other "down" emotions that they should instead just continue to "make things" - whether it be movies, or to write, or to create anything. It's true, it makes a world of difference if you take time to create, whatever it might be.

@jaxs mom so sorry about your beloved pet. That has to be so hard for you. Remember the good times.
@Show me keep your chin up and all the best to Mr. Lucky. He's lucky to have you.
@DowntonAbbey Lots of good advice to keep your chin up. If you have your health be thankful for that -- that's a BIG thing. And also being able to move around freely. I'm in a wheelchair right now and that retstricts me terribly.

It's Monday now for me. I am sending out a big hug to all those feeling sad. It's a feeling, we all experience it. Hope today is a better one for you. Hopefully this will pass too.
I'm not going to even try to pass along any helpful message, it's just something we go through sometimes for so many reasons. Not all, some of us.

Maybe it's something you eat or drink that builds up during the week to make you sad on Sunday. Hormonal possibly?

Hi Deb......I'm trying to do just that.....but some days it is harder than others. Really, I don't know what I would do without my Mr. Lucky. Right now is is up on the sofa with his back up against my leg.....sound asleep. He feels so nice and warm......
Deb.....will you always be confined to a wheelchair? Am sure you have your down days too. Those of us with physical problems have to really work hard at trying keep our chins up.....
Take care dear one......

Golden...... please know that it is your trust and belief in GOD that has you through. You must be one very strong individual.....
I too have lost a lot in my almost 76 years.....and do take what I call "my happy pill" every day. It's not strong, but seems to help me get through the days. Believe me, there are some very sad and difficult days I go through......but I try to not let it get me down. Having to go through the amount of chemo treatments I have had and will continue to have, I can't let it get the best of me.......not the cancer nor the depression. I too am alone, but do try to keep myself occupied during the days.....
Will be saying some prayers for you......
