I'm sad today too, we had to put our pug to sleep last night. My husband did take me out to lunch and it was a somewhat enjoyable short term diversion. I spent the rest of this afternoon with a headache and watching tv.

Oh, JaxsMom, how devastating for you. I'm sending hugs your way. It's a heartache, I know. He was a blessed little guy to have you for a Mom.

I dislike weekends - always have, even as a child.  I'm a person who likes routine and weekends throw me off. That's unsettling. I know it's not rational, but it's the way I am and have always been so there ya go.

Thank you. I was ok yesterday, probably more in shock. Today has been a lot harder.

Awww - Very sorry.  It's always hard and always acutely painful.

Sorry you are feeling sad.  I have days like that when I miss my dog, but my other two dogs keep mama happy.  My family is all far away, I've been by myself for 23 years - most days are great - we all have those days though.  But it is what I have chosen and would rather be alone than around my crazy family.  I like my life - it's pretty great!

I feel lonely and sad a lot.

People ask me to go places but I have been saying no so they stopped asking.

Then I got angry when they stopped asking lol

Hugs to all feeling lonely or sad. Heart

I'm sorry you're feeling blue. I've been a little down in the dumps myself, so today I went to a local garden nursery and just strolled among all the pretty plants and flowers. I saw new things, admired colors and shapes, and just enjoyed looking. The nursery staff were chatty and excited about everything, so it was fun to talk about plants and ask questions.

Well, I didn't just look....I ended up buying some flowers to perk up my front porch planters, and that made me even happier!

We have a beautiful arboreteum here, located by a lake, and that's another good spot for improving one's mood.

If you're snowbound, I know it can be hard to perk up with nature, but maybe there is a museum or exhibit you'd like to visit? I watched an interesting show this morning about birding -- software and apps you can download to identify birds in your yard, track them, and learn about them while listening to their songs. That made me smile, too.

Hope you find something different to do so you can get out of the "funk."
