Re: Well, here we are at day two, is it getting any better for you?

I agree about the subforums.  I also don't get why they couldn't just transfer a couple pages (or at least the current first page) in each forum of the current active threads to the new board. I don't get a lot of the things they do, but I do know two things for sure.... their IT team stinks!  Woman Sad  And so do these emoticons! Woman Frustrated

I'm fine with the new forum now except for one thing.  We need the sub forums back.  If there can't be sub forums, then there just needs to be a new category for some of the old forums, such as Viewpoints.

To find all of the posts you have participated in, just do a search for your nickname and they will come up.

I completely agree with you, especially regarding "I still don't understand how to go and see a list of everything I have posted on. I can find a list of all the threads I've started, but what about, like on the old forum, a listing of every post I've made, in chronological order"?

My most recent posts are the most interesting to me and as it stands, it is impossible to even find the threads that I've posted on in the past which is the primary reason that I come here.

This definitely should be a priority to be fixed immediately, and the second fix should be the subforums!

Posts dated April 2015 and older are OLD NEWS, not to mention that they aren't even in chronological order!

ETA:  This was supposed to be a "Reply" to the OP but it didn't take!

Re: Well, here we are at day two, is it getting any better for you?

No breadcrumbs, I still have words over the top of words, I have some huge lined box above where I type and the box I type my response is still jumps back and forth.

The only thing that has changed is instead of everything being in a column down the top right side of the page, categories are now back down the left side of the page like they used to be on the old board.

Not enough improvement for me to bother with this board.

Looks much, much better to me today.   We will look back and say, remember when they changed the board in 2015 and everybody was so upset?

Then they will change it again.

No it hasn't.  And it has nothing to do with a learning curve for me.  And I don't even need spellcheck.  It has everything to do with ease of use.  There are so many useless and difficult features that it HAS become a JOB (like someone so aptly put).

In addition to priority items mentioned here (subforums, transfer of threads and more) a big thing that bugs me is the design.  You can only see one or two responses (boxes) at the most on a page.  I'm tired of scrolling.  WHY do they have to repeat the OP title in each person's response box?  Then there's so much blank space at the bottom of the box.  If you eliminate that....you'd be able to see a few responses on the page and just be able to read them all so that you're not interrupted by scrolling.  I don't know why this bothers me so much but it does.

P.S.  I just signed up at DY's.

P.P.S.  Oh.  I see they reverted my nic back to what it was (adding rea) before a computer glitch a couple of months ago.  Great.  Did I ask them to do that?  No.  Can't trust 'em.  Now I'm going to see if I can change my nic back to the way I want it.

Re: Well, here we are at day two, is it getting any better for you?

Nope, I'll not ever be happy with how this version functions.

Most importantly, I can't display the list of topics according to time of LAST response.    Only by date of topic creation (not useful to me because some topics of interest were created long ago) or by time of ALL recent posts (which results in a topic that's generating a lot of responses being displayed over and over again)..  Because I can't display topics according to time of LAST response I can't find the threads I want to read.  This is a deal breaker for me -- it has taken the fun out of reading threads and has turned the task of finding threads of interest WORK instead of play.

Settings don't stick.  I have to keep resetting them.

It logs me out frequently, requiring me to log in again.  Much more often than before.

My thoughts exactly. That bothers me most of all except not having the sub categories.
