I've always loved the Fall season.  It's been my favorite time of year.   When I was a kid I loved Winter but when I began working I just hated having to deal with snow and ice and always worried about getting to work and home again safely.

Since I retired I'm enjoying the Winter season again.  That is of course as long as we don't have to drive much on snowy and icy roads.

Summer has always been my least favorite season.  I love the long days but don't like the extreme heat that seems to be happening more and more each year.

My favorite is fall. I love cool, crisp days. I love how the daylight gets gradually more golden. It's the best time to plant a lot of things. Perennials, trees, grasses, etc.
I like winter, too. Spring next, and summer least of all.

@J Town Girl    You sound like me,

I LOVE the autumn. It's always been my favorite time of the year. Cool air, the smell of crisp leaves, the gorgeous colors on the trees, sweaters, hoodies, warm blankets . . . bring it on!

I also love the winter. i LOVE the snow. I love being out when it's actually snowing. Nothing like a walk in the falling snow. I love being wrapped up in a warm blanket and reading a book while watching it snow.

The ONLY thing I don't like about the autumn, and especially winter, are the days getting shorter and shorter. I hate when it gets dark at 5pm.

I like spring, too. When everything awakens after a sleepy winter. Beautiful spring flowers, pastel colored trees, the start of longer days.

Summer. Nope. Especially, as you mentioned, the extreme heat we seem to be having more of lately. Don't forget the horrible HUMIDITY.

Fall?  We hardly have fall iin PA anymore.  The weather goes from hot right into freezing weather.

Right now everything is still in bloom.  My summer flowers are beautiful and I'm Still picking tomatoes.

All the leaves are green.  Hopefully, the leaves will change color this year.  Often they just stay on the tree well into winter.  I never get to wear my fall jackets and sweaters.

the only way I know that fall is here is the darkness that comes early.  As soon as we leave DST behind, it will be depressing and dark at 5 pm.

I Am looking forward to spring.  I hope this winter is mild and not too icy or snowy.

Mostly, I pray that by having people not gathering as much as they do in warmer weather that COVID will fade away.

I recently read where there is a Covid pill that is a miracle worker of sorts for people who have contacted it..just waiting for approval.  Hooray for that!!

Been an eventful year here also.  Sold our home and moved to a retirement apartment.  It’s a new way of life but a good one.  I feel very blessed.  I look forward to the cooler weather of autumn, not so much winter though.  However, I know spring isn’t far behind.  Time does seem to move quickly.

Re: Well I'll be darned!

I am amazed at how fast this year has gone.  Am happy that we are into Fall now as this summer has been blistering.  I am also grateful that we "only" have 2 more months of hurricane season left for this year.  Praying that we will be spared this year.  And once Halloween comes, we just blink and it will be Christmas before we know it.  🎃🎄
