Weird Commercials: Male Edition

This business/commercial has so Many Layers of Wrong with it,

I don’t know where to start.

I listen to a sports radio station, so I’m used to the LowT

and ED commercials. I get it. But there’s something about this

commercial (Roman) that tries to normalize it w/ a medical doctors

& a former Surgeon General endorsing....just...no.

Erectile dysfunction is a huge cardiovascular problem.

Instead of ordering pills for a fun night, these guys need to make

a ‘real’ appointment w/ a doctor. To ‘normalize’ heart disease w/

a catchy app is disgusting.

As a woman, to get a prescription to my birth control pills,

I had to take time off work, drive to the Dr office, get undressed,

get a Pap smear & end the visit with a strong sale to get a

mammogram...THEN have to drudge down to the drug store each

month to fill my prescription.  All trouble just just get my pills.

But with guys? We’ll just give you the pills, no questions asked.

Has anyone else seen this commercial?

Re: Weird Commercials: Male Edition

I won't watch any of those Big Pharma commercials. IMO they should all be against the law.

I hate the diabetes commercial where the guy is dancing around acting all happy like that's how it is when you are diabetic. Makes me sick. Same with the rest of their commercials.

Can't believe people go to their doctor's asking for these drugs after seeing them???

Like you said it's easy for a man to get that blue pill. That's what I told my doctor years ago when dealing with hot flashes & no help from the doctor. I was told that's part of a woman's life to deal with it. I said yes just like you tell men to deal with it when you hand out those blue pills. He just looked at me???

ITA it's a cardiovascular problem that needs to be dealt with.

Yes,  I have seen it.....I am aware that ED is a cardio issue and don't understand why...well I guess I understand, but these men really should see a doctor before ordering and taking the 'pill'.

I can't imagine a wife would OK this for her husband...women have to discuss personal issues all the time with their doctors, I guess men are not grown up enough to do the same.

First of all men are terribly embarrassed, and secondly chances are good their wives or significant others don’t even know.

@sidsmom   yea this advertisement is right up there with the male hormone and female hormone and human growth hormone supplement commercials.   I don't care that these supplements are most likely weaker than and RX would be, I think it's wreckless to futz with one's endocrine system Woman Very Happy

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Re: Weird Commercials: Male Edition

Oh good grief-you don't just sign into Roman and get pills.  You still have to consult with an online licensed physician before those pills will be sent out.

It is the same as the growing business of online consultations with licensed physicians for everything from ear infections to ED.

BC pills can be obtained the same way today.

This is a nonsense thread meant to be "clever" and falls short because the way Roman works was overlooked.  You still need to discuss your issues with the licensed physician before being prescribed any ED medication.

Re: Weird Commercials: Male Edition

its clearly directed at young guys who are loathe to see a doctor. doctors may not give them a script.   the young ones don't "need" it so much as they like to use ED drugs recreationally

It’s NOT a ‘Big Pharma’ commercial.

It’s an independently owned company.

@Mom2Dogs

It’s a simple human anatomy lesson.

We have veins inside our body.

These veins can get blocked because of plaque.

Also, these veins, which can be blocked, are affected everywhere in our body. It causes circulation issues.  Most all diseases are affected

by poor circulation.

That’s why ED is considered a 1st warning sign of heart disease in men...

the ‘carnary in the coal mine’, so to speak.
