Why do our furbabies follow us into the bathroom?

@pattypeep -haha!

I've always wondered that too-

curiosity? not wanting to be left alone?, always making sure they aren't shut out with a closed door?

Gotta love em!Heart

I did like it when mine came in to keep me company or watch me take a bubble bath. She always looked like she was half wanting to try it and the other half walking away in disgust.

You know they trust you when they will use their own litter box with you in there too! (in the room I mean)Woman LOL

Because they want to be with me.  They always follow me around, so why would the bathroom be any different?

However, they only follow me when I take a bath because they know it takes me longer.

Normally, when I leave a room, they wait a few minutes to see if I'll return shortly.  If not, they're up looking for me.

All of my dogs have done this in the past, too.

The sound of running water has always been "mysterious" to me.........

Re: Weekend Discussion

[ Edited ]

Our cat hates it when we close a door.  She always has to come in see what is going on.  DH works from home and will go to his home office and close the door when making calls.  She always scratches at the door until she is let in and makes herself comfortable. I have been working from home since the pandemic.  I am a speech pathologist so I have been doing teletherapy from home.  Keiko our cat often comes into my office and "participates" in therapy.  I work with preschool students so they love it.

My dog was horribly abused before he was rescued.  The only time he leaves my side is when I shower but even then, he comes to check on me several times.
