We can show God that we truly love Him by the way we speak and live.

May I be inspiring, Lord, and may everyone that I meet find You.

Scripture for the day:

"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10

Meditation for the day:

I can try to keep my life calm and unruffled. This is my great task, to

find peace and acquire serenity. I need not harbor disturbing thoughts.

No matter what fears, worries and resentments I may have, I can try to think

of constructive things until calmness comes. Only when I am calm can I act

as a channel for God's spirit.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may build up instead of tearing down. I pray that I may be

constructive and not destructive.

Hello my friends! Today has been a good day considering dog sitting Ollie,

Lori's rat terrior. He's been a good boy - and took naps so that was good!

He's listening to me better now. Gaining some wisdom, I hope! Again Linus

worked and is sore again, but now he's off until Monday. So far nothing is

scheduled yet for his training - he'll probably call tomorrow to set

something up. Have no words of wisdom tonight - praying for you all and

thanks for your prayers for us.

Hope

Hope opens doors where despair closes them.

Hope discovers what can be done instead of grumbling about what cannot.

Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God.

Hope "lights a candle" instead of "cursing the darkness."

Hope regards problems, small or large, as opportunities.

Hope cherishes no illusions, nor does it yield to cynicism.

Hope sets high goals and is not frustrated by repeated difficulties or

setbacks.

Hope pushes ahead when it would be easy to quit.

Hope puts up with modest gains, realizing that "the longest journey starts

with one step."

Hope looks for the good in people instead of harping on the worst.

Rules For Daily Life

Begin the day with God

Kneel down to Him in prayer;

Lift up thy heart to His abode.

And seek His love to share.

Open the Book of God

And read a portion there;

That it may hallow all thy thoughts,

And sweeten all thy care.

Go through the day with God

Whate'er thy work may be;

Where'er thou art-at home, abroad,

He still is near to thee.

Converse in the mind with God

Thy spirit heavenward raise:

Acknowledge every good bestowed,

And offer grateful praise.

Conclude the day with God

Thy sins to Him confess;

Trust in the Lord's atoning blood,

And plead His righteousness.

Lie down at night with God

Who gives His servants sleep

And when thou tread'st the vale of death,

He will thee guard and keep.

Pass this inspiration on ...

PRAYER FOR A MATURE FAITH

Lord, I wish to believe in You.

Let my faith be full and unreserved, and let it penetrate my thought, my way

of judging Divine things and human things.

Let my faith be free. Let my faith be strong; let it not fear the

difficulties or the problems of which the experience of our life, eager for

light, is full; let it not fear the hostility of those who question it,

attack it, reject it, deny it, but let it be strengthened in the intimate

proof of Your truth; let it resist the attack of criticism.

Let my faith be joyful and give peace and gladness to my spirit, and dispose

it for prayer with God and conversation with all.

PRAYER WHEN IN SUFFERING

Jesus, speak to me in these days of suffering to reveal to me, the will of God. "You have kept count of my tossing; put my tears in your bottle." (Psalm 56:8). "This I know, that God is for me" (Psalm 56:9). Come to my help soon. Cut short the days of suffering. Deliver me from the present adversities. Grant me long life and health to praise you in peace. Lift me up to become a witness for you. Thank you Jesus. Praise you Jesus. Hallelujah. (Praise God for 5 minutes to know the will of God in your sufferings. Thus you will receive the strength and grace to suffer. God willing, you will get immediate deliverance.)
