My thought would be that Wednesday will be yet another day I won't be watching any QVC. Their theme days have become fully annoying and way too frequent. As theme days go, all day in the kitchen doesn't top my list of must see TV.

All day theme shows or not, I've long since gotten to the point where I go online and look up "Items Recently On Air." You can run through 14 hours of same old, same old in about 3 minutes. If something sells out on air before I even get to see it, so be it.
Can't help but notice that they had one hour of Temptations last night, two this morning, and lots of Temptations items scattered in the other shows. More to follow later in the day I'm sure. Seems like overkill to me.

Maybe they should take a look at the results of their own forum poll they are doing right now - favorite thing to buy from QVC. Next to electronics at 1%, kitchen & food was the lowest at 11%. Fashion, beauty & jewelry were the highest. Doesn't that tell them something!!
But the forum polls only takes into consideration the people who come online and participate in this "community". The only thing that QVC takes into consideration, of course, is the bottom line. If the kitchen days make money, then the powers-that-be aren't going to care what the forum poll says.

I have 2 of them that I inherited from my aunt......I use them all the time. I am not a real lover of plastic.....because I think it change the taste of food.......and they stain after a period of time.
There's nothing like glass containers.......JMO
Show Me--those are nice containers. You should check around at some of the second-hand stores....or antique malls. I usually see those containers in that kind of place. They aren't cheap, but they aren't outrageous, either. There are a couple of places over on Manchester Road that you should check. One is called The Emporium. It's very near the newer shopping complex that has Stein Mart, Tuesday Morning, Baskin Robbins, etc. It's painted hot pink....you can't miss it!
Oh CardinalGirl, you're an angel..... I have had them for ages, and I guess you would call them antiques......neither of the 2 has a chip out of it. Where on Manchester Road is the Emporium? Is it near Glendale, or is it out further (past Des Peres) ??????....... I remember my aunt had a the rectangular one too, but believe her DIL got that one. Now I am really wanting more of them. Those are the kinds of things you just don't send folks home with leftovers.
Here's a the Emporium's website: http://emporium-stlouis.com/
I don't know for sure they have the refrigerator boxes you're looking for....but you might like the place, anyway. Here's an example of ours being a small world:
You know that I live over an hour from the city. One weekend, we were in just knocking around and came upon this store. I found a mirror I really loved and was writing a check for the purchase. When the owner of the shop saw my address, she said, "Oh, my daughter lives in your town." Well.....as it turns out, her daughter is the woman who cleans my house! Very small world, indeed.
CG.....thanks so much for this info. Will check it out sometime later today....when I'm not watching a kitchen show ...... LOL..... Yes, this is a small small world we live in.
Have been watching some of the things being offered today......I really think those gel tumblers they are showing right now a pretty neat. 16 oz. is a good size and like the idea that you don't have to fill the glass up with ice......

And where Wednesday's JUNK will also end up.gazelle, you know as well as I know, that it isn't all JUNK they will be offering.
yes, when talking $400 mixers and blenders.... they are EXPENSIVE junk.
you say a lot of things with total disgust and rancor so I am aware of your personality and it's not becoming. However, this time I just have to comment and say that is one of the most asinine statements I have ever heard. A Vitamix blender while expensive is not junk. People want things MIA and often state they will pay more if it is quality. Vitamix is quality, has a great guarantee and guess what? For people who like to cook or use blenders for making smoothies or whatever, a good, quality blender is a must. Junk is some overpriced throw away garment M.I.C that falls apart after 3 uses, or in the case of some jewelry something that has a mark up of 400% and stones fall out. I have no idea why you way say something that IS really good quality and useful 365 days a year is junk. Let's see, $400 for something you can use every day 365 days a year for 5 years with a warranty vs a $400 handbag that has handles that come apart or a jar of cream that gets used up in 60 days or clothes that go out of style, lots of things that could be junk, I don't see the need to make your ridiculous statement.
BTW: I WISH I could find a donated Vitamix in a goodwill store. Seems no one is donating this junk to Goodwill, but I have seen lots of Quacker Factory and Liz Claiborne castoffs in there.

Very good point!
I use my Keurig and Vitamix every day...and my KitchenAid stand mixer often too.
I just had a party and used my Nesco to keep the pulled pork warm...I've had t for 15 years and use it every time I entertain.
Kitchen products have been my BEST QVC purchases.

pride.....I like your definition of what isn't junk that is being sold on the Q. If I entertained now and had the space, I would probably own some of what call "junk" in my kitchen. My hand mixer is a KitchenAide, and I love it.
