Wedding ring will be returned to owner after being lost for 48 years.

A lady in Chicago that lost her wedding ring about fifty years ago will be getting it back. Karen Autenrieth lost her ring in the snow back in 1973. She had parked her car in front of her grandmother's home and was in the process of getting her three small kids in the car when she lost it. The ring was found eight years ago by a woman that lives near the grandmother's home. The finder read a FB post about a similar ring loss story and made a comment about her find on Facebook. The Ridge Historical Society heard about the comment and volunteered to help the finder trace the owner. The ring is inscribed, RA to KB, 4-16-66. Using the inscription, The Society was able to find the maiden name of the owner, Karen Berk. Carol Flynn, a researcher from The Ridge Historical a society, was able to find the owner on a Facebook and notified her that the ring was found. The ring is being sent back to San Antonio. The owner is still married to her husband, Robert. The couple plan a little ceremony for Valentine's Day in which the husband will replace the ring in his wife's finger.

Yeah, really! I remember a day, DECADES ago, when I was attending a high school graduation and realizing that when I graduated from h.s. none of these kids were even born.
