The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince Henry of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.
Prince Harry thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex, and Ms. Meghan Markle on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.

CNN is also reporting that Meghan will also be Princess Henry, a Countess and Baroness to go along with Harry's titles.

Thanks for posting. Sounds wonderful.

There has only been one other Duke of Sussex throughout history, Prince Augustus Frederick, and he was a supporter of the abolition of the slave trade. Very suitable considering Meghan’s racial background. Prince Augustus became estranged from his father over their differing political beliefs. The prince also supported catholic emancipation, the removal of civil restrictions on Jews and parliamentary reform. All these viewpoints were apparently at odds with his ruling father, King George.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex"-- has a terrific ring, even if a bit of a mouthful!
I was very interested in what the titles would be-- thanks!

Princess Henry? Anyone know if it's common to give a woman a man's name as part of her title?
