Re: Webbie, out of all fairness please explain the whys and how things are chosen to be

"Webbie" prefers to be called Web Master or Master for short.

He works hard for his money and deserves every red penny he earns. He's fighting for the minimum wage to be increased to $30.00 per hour. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

He begins his day fresh, rested and with renewed hope and faith in womankind, but ends his day frustrated and exasperated. A thankless job at best.

Please respect his authority going forward! TIA

Why even ask? You know they don't participate in the board or answer questions. It's just the way it is here. I think they probably get weary of people starting threads about politics, religion, etc, that are not allowed and they probably just delete at will, by bulk.

I don't know that. I know that hasn't been the case in at least one other board. It's my understanding the webbie (one of them) DID participate. And eventually lost the job over it.

.....and actually....if I'm recalling correctly....didn't a webbie actually say something to PurpleBunny once??

Huh? No. Webbie restored a pulled Casey Anthony trial thread once at my request, that was it. I never talked to, nor got anyone fired. PurpleBunny LIKES and RESPECTS webbies.

lol....I know you do, PB. But I could have sworn a few years ago the webbie actually answered a request you made. It was a couple of years ago........don't you remember? Maybe he or she didn't answer you directly...but did something that made us all believe the webbie liked you.

It was a good 3 years ago. Either that......or I really have gone around the deep end! lol

That was it, I directly appealed for the thread to be put back, and it was. I don't think it was because of me per se, I think it was because it was pulled by accident due to excessive, unwarranted button pushing. Webbie knew it was an extremely popular thread, filled with "good" posters. One poster didn't agree with the majority and caused trouble and suddenly, our thread was gone. It wasn't fair, we were behaving. Methinks that sometimes the board is on auto pilot and all it takes is so many pushes by a vindictive poster for a thread to go poof, legitimately or not. There was no good reason for the thread to go, and Webbie recognized that fact.

Yes, I remember the remarks from the webbie to PurpleBunny a few years back. I remember the remark made was something like, "PurpleBunny is one our favorite posters", something like that. I believe that was a different company managing the boards at the time, and it was on the Q board and not on this one.

I could be way off, but for some reason this is how I remember it.

No, that never happened. The thread suddenly was back. That was the end of it. I've never been addressed nor referenced by a Webbie.
