Well, actually, I kind of pulled a Brian Williams when I said "we" cut it in half and "we" sanded it down and refinished it. ${#emotions_dlg.blush}$ It was my husband who did the sawing....then it was my son-in-law who did the sanding....then it was my husband, again, who did the staining and applied the polyurethane. So it isn't me who has the talent.

But it was my idea to saw it....and I decorated it. Does that count? Wink

A friend did something similar for her narrow kitchen where she wanted a breakfast table. It was round so the half took up more space than yours, just big enough for two to have a small meal and/or coffee.
