We saw a flock of Robins today

We were doing our mile walk inside the hospital ,and Mr Cherry looked out the window, into a court yard ,and said, are those Robins? I looked ,and sure enough they were

I wonder if some of them ,hang around all year, and don't fly south? It seems a bit early to see them

The cranes are in Nebraska (along the Platte River) on their annual migration. Spring is coming!

I have never seen a flock of robins but there is one sitting on the telephone line across the street and I swear it must be shivering.

Yikes! I'm afraid we won't see Robins until June this year!

I usually get two robins every day at my bird feeder. Usually a male and female

come together. Sometimes the male alone.

Love seeing them. So beautiful.

@threecees  That's unusual.  Robins don't usually eat bird seed.  How can you tell the male and female apart?  Are the males deeper in color?  We have robins year round, and I often have a nest in the spring where I can see the babies peeking out of the nest.  One year one of the huge black birds attacked the nest and killed all the babies. I was so sad and felt sorry for the mother.

Some Robins do stay the winter, they stay in the woodlands where they can find some food. I feel sorry for any bird here in the Chicago suburbs,it's been a really tough, cold winter.
