Sure, @Mindy D , I wore it all through my recent exam, where I was thrilled (not!) to discover I now have an annoying little "floater" in one eye. A little friend that will probably be there from now on, gack!
I expect most optometrist offices will conduct their exams the same way..

I must be in the minority but I had an eye exam last July and only had to wear it for part of it. I could take it off for drops and the vision test. Only had to wear it for the preliminary discussion and walking in and out.

@Oznell , I've had floaters many times. Your brain gets used to them and you don't see them anymore......until a new one comes.
