@MamaWick   I'm sorry the electricity has been off so long. It's happened to me and cold isn't fun!

Re: We're here!!!

I was concerned for all of you, MamaWick, because of the uncharacteristic silence.

May all of you remain toasty warm and with no more blackouts.  You, PapaWick and all the Wickettes are beloved.  We want you well and protected.

ETA:  I just now read your update, MamaWick.  Oh no!  I hope the storm proves to be less than expected.  We are due to get some here on Thursday.  I have former colleagues and friends who are now returned or relocated to South Texas.  I am praying for all of you.  You are not in the south, as I recall, but they are in San Antonio and El Paso.

@MamaWick : Stay safe and warm as best as you can!

You reminded me that I lost power following a snow storm around 2018. The first two days I made do. By Day 3 the house was just too cold. I put up the proverbial white flag and was fortunate to go with my dog to DS & DDIL's house an hour away. Power returned a couple of days later.

I hope your power returns soon!! I know it's no fun when you can't do anything besides stay in bed or a chair day and night, wearing layers of clothes, your heaviest coats and multiple blankets- all at once. No way to cook, no hot water, no lights. I recall having to drive around in my (warm) car (not an option with snow & ice on the ground) and went to church to warm up and charge my phone.

It is good to hear from you, MamaWick, All of us who follow your nature posts, I believe, had the same concern when we didn't see your Monday posting!!!

I hope the weather improves  and you do not experience any more power loss, that is a scary feeling having gone through it a few times.

The visitors must be checking up on their refuge and dealing with the weather as they do.  I see Miss Cricket had her warm blanket with her, always prepared!

Be safe and well and hopefully this weather will soon pass and all will be good for the Wicks', Cricket and the bucks and does who living out doors take it in stride.

I am SO sorry to hear you lost your water and electric!  Thankfully I have not lost any electricity - water is just running very slow but I have my pots filled with extra water and in the 'fridge for just in case!

Hopefully we will be out of this by later Thursday after we get icing overnight and tomorrow night.

I am thankful with my job I work from home!

Your pics are wonderful as always and glad little Cricket has lots of warmth, along with love!

You and PapaWick stay safe!!

@MamaWick   Count me in as another who was concerned about how you all were doing.

So sorry to hear about the loss of electricity, water, and heat.  Glad that all is back on and hope that there will be no further loss.

Woofs and  warm hugs to Cricket and some for you as PapaWick as well. Thank you again for posting and taking care of the inside and outside Wick family.

Oh my, sorry you lost your power, particularly in the weather you have.  I must say, the deer really stand out against the snow.  It is always a pleasure to see your posts, thanks again and again. Smiley Very Happy

Keep safe. I'm amazed that you made it through the 22 hrs . I'm amazed that your house pipes did not freeze.
